Offerings: The offering for October is for Friendship Community, Landis Homes, Philhaven, Released Time and budgeted items. Offering last week was $2,590.50. Attendance last week was 91. Oct. 16, Sun.-The Youth Group will provide a lunch as a fund raiser after the service today. Oct. 16, Sun.-at 1 p.m. is the CROP Walk. Join us for a fun afternoon! Oct. 16, Sun.-LMS will host an open house for prospective students from 1-3 p.m. Oct. 19, Wed.- is the time for our monthly Sewing Circle meeting at Bowmansville Church. Our meeting time is 8:45 a.m.-3 p.m. Our project for this

month is Health Kits which includes 5 items: 1 toothbrush (adult size; leave in wrapper), 1 squeeze-tube toothpaste (6 oz. in box), 1 large bar of bath soap, 1 fingernail clipper, 1 hand towel (larger than fingertip, dark color). Also, this is the month for the carry in meal. Please bring a hot or cold dish that will be shared with everyone. Oct. 19, Wed.-Youth Group Bible Study at Travis & Carolyns, 7 p.m. Oct. 22, Sat.-Take your family back in time. See inside an old mill, a former senator's home and four other historic sites near the 1719 Hans Herr House, and do it at your own pace and in your own car. Historic Driving Tour from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tours start at the Hans Herr House. Go to www.hansherr.org for details. Oct. 27, Thurs.-Jr. Youth will meet at the church at 7 p.m. Oct. 29. Sat.-Trade Halloween scares for some old-school fun: square dancing, music, food, seasonal games and a bonfire at the Hans Herr House, 7-10 p.m. Perfect for youth groups, couples and singles. $5 per person; $4 per person for groups of 10 or more who call in advance:464-4438 or email info@hansherr.org. Oct. 30, Sun.- Luncheon meeting for all mentors/mentees after worship services. Nov. 12, Sat.-Interested in spending a day in New York City but not interested in driving there? Here is your chance to sit back and relax while someone else does the driving! Hinkletown Mennonite School is sponsoring a trip to NYC. Dec. 3, Sat.-During the Adamstown Community Christmas in the Grove Tree Lighting Ceremony, there will be a, LIVE NATIVITY SCENE, (reenactment), by Gehman Mennonite, and a number of other churches, held in the Adamstown Community Park Grove. Last year this was very well attended by the community. We will be looking for willing "actors" (simple parts, non-speaking), watch for more details. -Lancaster Mennonite High School is looking for families willing to provide a Sunday morning worship experience for one or two international students who live in the school's residence hall. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about another culture and help students connect to the community. This week well start a series called Doing the right thing by Chuck Colson of Break point. It focuses on ethics in America, it is taped in Princeton College with a panel of mostly professors discussing the topics, then answering students questions.
