Offering last week was $2,785.00. Attendance last week was 119. Dec. 12, Mon - Ministry Team Meeting, 6 p.m., Board of Elders Meeting at 7 p.m. Thanks for your prayers for these meetings. If you have questions, encouragement, suggestions, etc. for our church, please share them with the ministry team. Your input is welcomed. Dec. 14, Wed.-JBA/JGA and Jr. Youth will meet at the Bowmansville Mennonite from 7-8:30 p.m. JBA will be assembling kits for MCC and playing games. JGA will be having a Christmas party, but please do not bring gifts. Jr. Youth will have a Christmas party and make gingerbread houses. Boys should bring a salty snack and girls should bring a sweet snack. Any Jr. Youth who are going to the hockey game on Jan. 21 should bring along $13 to pay for the cost of this event.

Dec 16 & 17, Friday & Saturday evenings - "Journey to Bethlehem" will be held at Woodcrest Retreat. Visit www.WoodcrestRetreat.org for more details. Dec. 17, Sat.-At 4 p.m., at LMS, following the Christmas concert a Christmas tea fund raiser. To attend the tea, RSVP to campus chorale@lancastermennonite.org by Dec. 5. Dec. 21, Wed.-is the time for Sewing Circle to meet at Bowmansville Mennonite. Our project this month is Health Kits. Items for each kit are; 1 toothbrush (adult size, leave in wrapper);1 squeeze-tube toothpaste (6 oz.; leave in box),1 large bar of bath soap, 1 fingernail clipper,1 hand towel (larger than fingertip, dark color).Thanks for contributing to these needs ! We will also be taking nominations for persons to fill the roles of Vice President, Assistant Secretary, Songleader and Treasurer. Please pray that persons will be open to filling these assignments. Jan. 15, Sun.-Secret Sister Tea, 4 p.m. in the fellowship hall. More info to come. -The 2012 offering envelopes are on the table in the narthex. Please complete the slip of paper in your offering envelope box and then drop it into the wooden box on the table. This will enable us to give you the correct report of your offerings at year-end. -You are invited to help provide prelude music on Christmas morning prior to our morning service. Please sign up on the paper on the table in the narthex. All ages are welcome to participate! As in several past years, we also plan to sing the "Hallelujah Chorus" during that service and will welcome your participation. -If you have suggestions of folks who would welcome Christmas carolers on Sun., Dec. 18th, please let Darlene know. We plan to carol at Landis Homes at 2:30 p.m. (Harvest View lobby) and then meet in our church fellowship hall at 4 p.m. to carol in our community. A light meal will follow. Contact Ruth Ann Horning if you wish to contribute food. Thank you! -The last two offerings for December will be designated for budgeted operating costs (Dec. 18th) and District Bishop Support (Dec. 25th). -An opportunity to bless others. The Outreach Committee just learned that Colonial Lodge is having their Christmas party on Thurs., Dec. 16. That's this week! Are there a few bakers in our midst who would be willing to bake some Christmas cookies by Thurs. noon? A total of nine to ten dozen would be much appreciated. Sign the sheet in the narthex or contact Lena. Thanks! -Scripture readers are needed to open our Sunday morning worship services with a Call to Worship. If you could serve in this way, please sign up on the sheet on the table in the narthex. -Hold the fruitcake! This year, take holiday whoopie pies to your neighbors, kids, coworkers or Christmas dinner. Blossom Hill Mennonite women will decorate and gift wrap Lancaster's famous chocolate treat to support Mennonite missions. $8/half-dozen, $15/dozen, $25/two dozen. Join us in helping them by purchasing and item or two. Suggested items are located on the Christmas Tree. Place your items under the tree be Dec. 25th.
