Principals Message
November brings a time in the year when everyone is reminded to give thanks for all we have. As I drove to work this morning I couldnt help but appreciate the beautiful valley we live in as I saw the sun beginning to edge into the sky from the east. My thoughts drifted to the wonderful opportunity I have to work daily with dedicated professionals who deeply care about their students. The students at Draper continue to amaze me on a daily basis. These young children have hearts of gold and true compassion for others. They share their gifts of intelligence while solving simple to complex problems. I am thankful that you, as parents, share your special gift of children with us. I have been in several classrooms recently and the students are actively involved and appear to be moving along with their academics. I enjoy hearing the class discussions and how involved the students become with what they are learning. Thank you teachers and students! Conferences will take place the first week of November. Please come celebrate the progress your children are making in school. Come prepared with questions. It is always helpful when parents share unique traits with the teachers allowing a positive relationship and continued academic and social progress. The relationship between school and home is vital to a childs success in school. Thank you to our superior PTA Board and all parent volunteers. What a pleasure to have so many parents who promote a strong parental involvement at our school. Our first annual Parent Education Night was wonderful and those who came learned a lot. -Ms. Kenna Sorensen, Principal
