POLICIES CHILDREN & INFANTS We do not provide a special rate for children. Though there are many talented young musicians, we recommend that children 12 and under, as well as infants, not attend the conference. If you are a nursing mother and must bring your infant, please respect the other registrants by leaving a workshop, session or concert if your baby becomes disruptive. Children are welcome to attend the evening concerts. Again, please respect other attendees by taking your child out if they become distracting. RECORDING Audio or video recording the workshops, sessions and/or concerts is prohibited, due to licensing arrangements. BRINGING INSTRUMENTS There are a few workshops for guitar & bass where presenters encourage attendees to bring their instrument. Please do so. Please note, however, that neither the CMS nor Overlake Christian Church are responsible for lost or stolen property. We do not have a storage facility, so guitars will have to be held or stored at your own risk. CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS If you are unable to attend, you have a couple of options. You can either switch over your registration to another individual, or you can contact us for a partial refund. A certain percentage is retained to cover various service fees we incur for each transaction. Cancellations will not be refunded after 2 weeks prior to the start date of the event.

Well discuss the keys to being a successful audio operator including: Knowing who is truly in charge of the mix, determining your mix priorities, working through sound check, having an effective rehearsal and more. Jacob Cody & Advanced Digital Mixing (repeated on Saturday) Mark Rush Advanced Digital Mixing is a workshop that takes the digital mixer to the next level. Students will learn advanced processes such as: wireless console control, working with digital plug-ins, using a live multi-track recording for a virtual sound check, digital snake routing, and more. If youre looking to take your digital console to the next level, this class is for you. Doug Gould Lowering Stage Volume The prevailing problem in most of our churches today is that our platforms are too loud and its messing everything up. What can we do to fix the problem? We will explore methods that dont require any additional equipment. Through some common sense applications, you may find that the levels on the stage can be greatly reduced. If that doesnt work, well go into some additional explanations of methods that may require additional gear. In-Ear personal monitors and Personal Monitor Mixers, Amp Modelers, buttkickers, drum shields and electronic instruments, and mute boxes. Kent Advanced Microphone Applications for Worship Margraves This session will go beyond the basics of microphone theory and technique, and get to the very practical applications of multi-miking the modern worship platform. Well review various tips and tricks the pros use to improve their live sound mixes right at the sources - on stage. If you know microphone basics, but sometimes still find yourself struggling with mic selection or proper technique for certain applications, this session will interest you. Mathew Transforming environments with multi-screen and environmental projection is not exclusive to churches with a lot of money and resources. Come learn about the technology used to create visual environments through projecting images on the walls and non-traditional surfaces without breaking the bank or having fancy equipment.
