    A BIKE 4 EVERY KID

    We consider that every kid deserves to have a bike. This will make their lives better. We all know that riding a bike is fun, it is ecological and is generally a great way of transportation. Brief: We are looking to gather and donate a number of around 20 bicycles to (mostly) institutionalized kids in our town, Baia Mare - Romania. Who we are: Rotaract Club. Actually Rotaract Baia Mare, with the help of Rotaract [insert name] Viena. Rotaract is a Rotary sponsored worldwide service club of young men and women ages 18 to 30. Where this is going to happen: Baia Mare, Romania. Population: 137.000. Who will receive the bikes: kids from poor families or that don't have a family. How many? Depends on how many bikes we can gather. Unfortunately there are still a lot of poor kids in our area. Our goal is to gather 20 bikes. What bikes are we exactly looking for: used or new bicycles that are the appropriate sizes for kids from 8 to 14 years old. Project deadline and finalization: we plan to donate the bikes and take the kids out for some fun in the Municipal Park on 1st of June 2012 (International Children's Day).
