Dear Neighbor,

I write to ask you for your vote on Tuesday, Nov. 8 in the race for Lower Allen Township Commissioner. Why should you vote for me? Because, when I served as your commissioner from 2006 through 2009, I worked hard for you, and will again. To better serve your needs and connect with Lower Allen residents while staying in touch with the latest happenings in our community, I attended events as varied as the Easter Egg Hunt, Lisburn's 270th Anniversary celebrations, and neighborhood meetings. I championed adoption of the Reverse 911 system that notifies us of issues ranging from imminent flooding to snow emergencies. I asked hard questions which led to a unanimous decision denying Liberty Forge's request for a zoning change which would have changed the rural character of part of the township. I built consensus on the board to tighten restrictions on hydronic heaters to limit their impact on you and other Lower Allen homeowners. I responded to resident emails and phone calls, and met people in their homes and businesses where they wanted to discuss township issues. I represent Lower Allen on the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library board, and have chaired its personnel committee since April, 2010. Delegates of the Cumberland County Tax Collection Committee selected me to lead the organization for the last two years. Closer to home, I've been honored to volunteer with the Lisburn Community Fire Company, chairing its budget committee and running the Festival money room this year with my wife and daughter. Why should you vote for me? It is simple; I am like you. I care about our community, and want to see it continually improve. I am committed to Lower Allen Township, eager to serve, and possess the energy and commitment needed to deliver effective results for you. Please vote for me on Nov. 8. I will work hard for you. Sincerely, Dan Christ
