Pupils observe a wilted plant and suggest reasons why the plant wilted and suggest how it can be revived e.g. by watering the plant and find out the result after some time.

1.5 About different sounds.

To identify different sounds. to name the instruments that is used to make the sound. To say how the instruments produce sounds. to describe sound. to recognize that some sounds are nice to listen to and some are not. to recognize sounds created for specific purposes.

Pupils listen and identify the different sounds in their surroundings. Pupils draw or name the instruments that make the sound that they heard. Pupils listen to the sounds of musical instruments e.g. recorder, tambourine, maracas, drum and say how it produce the sounds either by beating, plucking, blowing, shaking. Pupils play musical instrument softly and then loudly and describe the sounds whether its soft or loud. Pupils play all the musical instruments at the same time loudly and give their comments. Pupils play a tune of their own together using the instruments and describe it whether it sounds noisy, quiet, loud or soft. Pupils discuss about the use of different sounds in the surroundings in everyday life.
