    My film is called The Headless Woman and was made in Argentina. The budget for this film was $2 million. The film is an original screenplay and is directed by Lucrecia Martel. The main actors are Mara Onetto, Claudia Cantero and Csar Bordn. The main two who produced this film are Agustn Almodvar and Pedro Almodvar.

    About the film poster


    The film poster is interesting because it doesnt look scary but you can tell its a psychological film. The red background and yellow text catches your eye, then you see the black figure of a woman in the centre. The poster makes you want to ask questions about the film genre.

    About the trailer


    From watching the trailer I learnt that the genre will be a thriller but a psychological thriller. It is not a straight forward film, you would need to think about it while your watching it.

    Promotion of the film


    The Headless Woman had a review in The Independent. It was also at Cannes film festival in 2008 and was a big success. This film wasnt promoted that much however the director is known in her country. Between 19951998 she directed documentaries for television and childrens programmes with a dark sense of humour and which were widely acclaimed by the Argentine press. In 1999 she received the Sundance+-/ NHK Filmmakers Award for her script La Cienaga (The Swamp) about families in Northern Argentina. Filmbug
