The following is important information regarding the preparation of your submission. Failure to comply with the guidelines may result in disqualification of the submission. Please read this information carefully and do not submit any additional items beyond what is requested. All required submission materials must be received by 4:00 PM on Fri, May 4, 2012.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1. Complete this entry form for each submission 2. One (1) CD for each submission, labeled with the entry #, containing the following: IMAGES: a minimum of 10 (max of 15) photos or renderings of the venue, these images should be 72 dpi, with the total file size of all images not to exceed 15 MB FLOOR PLAN: a floor plan of the kitchen and/or service areas
Likert NARRATIVE: a brief narrative (25-50 words max!) about the venue to be read to the jury MARKETING IMAGE: a single image that you feel best represents the project, for marketing/press purposes, clearly labeled as such, this marketing image must be 300 dpi and oriented horizontally 3. By initialing below, I, the official registrant for this entry, hereby accept the terms of entry, indicate my understanding that no fees will be returned for entries not submitted, that all jury decisions are final, irrevocable and not open for appeal, and that AIA Los Angeles reserves the right to refuse acceptance of any entries. I declare that all statements contained herein are true and correct to the best of my knowledge and that I am duly authorized to submit this project. I affirm that all parties involved with this venue have been notified and appropriately credited as needed and that there are no pending legal issues that prevent me from entering. Final Information
Judging Criteria Evaluations will be based on function, ambience and visual impact. The number of projects awarded will be at the sole and absolute discretion of the jury. Jury Evan Kleiman - Host of KCRW's Good Food, Chef, Restaurateur & Author Mark Rios, FAIA, FASLA - Architect & Principal of award-winning Rios Clementi Hale Studios Michael Voltaggio - Winner of Bravo's Top Chef, Chef & Restaurateur Awards Ceremony @ Dwell on Design Dwell Magazine returns as this years official media partner for the Restaurant Design Awards. The Awards Ceremony will take place at the AIA|LA Design Conference in conjunction with the Dwell on Design Expo on Friday, June 22, 2012 at the LA Convention Center. People's Choice Awards The Restaurant Design Awards will once again recognize a Peoples Choice Award, in addition to the Jury Winners. The Jurys top selections in each category will be listed on aialosangeles.org and the general public will be invited to vote for their favorite architecturally-designed restaurant, cafe, bar, lounge or nightclub from Tuesday, May 22 - Monday, June 18, 2012. The highest recipient of votes in each category will be announced at the Awards Ceremony.
