WORSHIP PENTECOST Today we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit and birth of the church. We wear red to commemorate the flames that settled on the peoples heads in the Acts account of Pentecost, the coming of the Holy Spirit. With the Spirits coming we are empowered to be light in a world of darkness. REWRITING HISTORY Next Sunday we celebrate 150 years of being a community of faith. As we prepare to begin a series on leadership by telling the story of David, we examine how we tend to rewrite history as we look back. How have we done that in our story? Why is that dangerous why is that helpful? Where do we go from here?
