This memo gives pertinent information to clarify the process and make sure all logistics are clarified so that our media colleagues have lodging, transportation, meals, full delegation access at events (parties too!), and credentials to maximize the event. If you have any questions, please dont hesitate to contact the press team at press@CARCN12.com. REGISTRATION/PARTICIPATION FEE Media who want to embed with the Delegation must submit a completed registration form and $900 participation fee by June 15. Weve gotten questions about why theres a fee, what it buys and how it compares to previous conventions. Here is the information: Media covering the Delegation get the same treatment in terms of transportation, meals and events as the delegates themselves. The fee is not new or unique to California. The fee was $900 in 2008, $750 in 2004 and $450 in 2000. The fee is simply a cost reimbursement for expenses. The only additional charges would be for the hotel room(s) and travel to/from Tampa. The Delegation and media will be staying at the TradeWinds Island Resorts and you will need to make your own room reservations. A link with pricing and room options is forthcoming. California Delegation media team members will help facilitate media credentialing (if necessary) for RNC Convention.
