Biblical Marriage Mondays 7-9PM Jan 23rd Mar 12th

Purpose: Biblical Marriage will give the student a fresh perspective on Marriage that is Biblical and Gospel-centered. Emphasis will be placed on examining the Scriptures in order to determine what marriage should look like, the meaning of marriage and Gods purposes in marriage. Grading Scale o All Covenant Institute courses operate on a ten-point scale. o The grade for Biblical Marriage will be based on the following Project: 50% Attendance: 50% Class Auditing o Those desirous to attend and are not working toward the certificate in religious studies need not complete any of the above assignments. o All couples attending Biblical Marriage en lieu of pre-marital counseling must complete the project. Certificate in Biblical Studies o Those desirous of earning the certificate in religious studies must complete all of the above assignments in order to receive credit for this course. o A 2.00 GPA must be earned in order for the course to count toward the certificate. Transcripts and Other Records o All Transcripts and attendance records will be kept and maintained by Covenant Institute Instructor o Brandon Nealy, MDiv o Brandonnealy@gmail.com Project Description o Each engaged and/or married couple must read one of the below books together and based on their reading and classroom attendance write a one page mission statement for their marriage. o Singles must complete their project alone. o All couples attending Biblical Marriage en lieu of pre-marital counseling must complete the project. o Book list (audio versions are acceptable) Marriage: Whose Dream?
