Dear Sir/Madam,

1. Bank needs a logo for BANCON-2012 for publicizing the event. You are requested to submit the design of the logo at the earliest.

2. Bank of Maharashtra would be organising -Banker's Conference (BANCON) for the year 2012 at Pune on 23rd and 24th November 2012, in association with Indian Banks Association (IBA). BANCON is an event where the best of Indian minds meet every year to react, review, reform and rethink on a wide range of banking and related developments. Several policymakers, regulators and bankers gather for two days to discuss and deliberate. 3. BANCON for the year 2011 was organized by Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) jointly with Indian Banks' Association (IBA) on November 4-6, 2011 at Chennai. Theme for the event was "Competing In The Defining Decade".The logo adopted for BANCON 2011 is attached for your reference. 4. Theme for BANCON 2012 is "Innovating to unlock the next decade". Theme focuses on innovations required to tide secular shifts underway.Industry is likely to witness significant shifts, particularly across consumer behaviour, technology and regulations that will create several opportunities for banks. However, to unlock these opportunities, banks will need to re-invent their business models and drive the next wave of innovation. Some of the challenges with opportunities for the industry are as follows: Significant shifts in consumer behaviour: Research reveals shifts in the underlying drivers of loyalty with service scoring above pricing, increased adoption of alternate channels and decline in risk aversion.Technology disruptions: Technology could fundamentally redefine business models and result in a steep decline in costs (e.g. UID lowering enrolment costs, mobile, micro ATM).Emergence of new opportunities: Growth of the middle class, rising rural affluence, increasing SME demand, agri-innovations, etc. have fuelled new areas of growth e.g. commodity finance, horticulture, gold loans, payments.Divergent growth: Disparate demographic spread with varying nature of opportunity across districts will necessitate a granular approach to growth. Economic environment and regulations: Growing capital scarcity and new regulatory structures will have significant impact on growth and continued profitability of fundamental banking business models. Please submit the design of the logo at the earliest. Regards Akanksha Mahajan
