Lisa Marie Armstrong Pop Culture: Teen Pregnancy Teen pregnancy has become an epidemic in the United States.

I hope to find why teen pregnancy is so glorified in todays society? How does teen pregnancy affect the future society? Why is has the pregnancy rates changed so much over the years? What would be the benefits of a sexual education class in schools? What can other teens do to spread awareness and prevent them from getting into this situation? How is teen pregnancy associated with financial issues? What does teen pregnancy do to taxpayers? And finally what effect does teen pregnancy have on teens health in the future? These points of inquiry should lead to a conclusion as to how teen pregnancy affects the nation as a whole. The intended research path is along a trail of sources directed at young females. Also sources that show the statistical view of pregnancy rates in the U.S.. The only way to research this topic is through the eyes of a teen therefore looking at the sources that they look at every day will help me understand the choices they make or dont make and how this effects them and our society. My research most likely will focus on magazine writings, blogs, and popular teen shows. Using these sources will give me a better understanding of what young ladies are reading that are influencing their sexual activity at such a young age and also help me understand really how big or small of an epidemic this is.
