WHAT IS GLOBAL WARMING

Global warming is the increase in the average measured temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans and its projected continuation. The term "global warming" refers to increase in the Instrumental temperature record due mostly to Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) caused primarily by human activities.

REASONS FOR GLOBAL WARMING

Greenhouse Effect -Industrialization -Deforestation

-Burning of fossil fuels

FALLOUTS OF GLOBAL WARMING

Sea level could rise. Strong hurricanes, droughts, heat waves, wildfires. From disappearing habitat, changing ecosystems,

and acidifying oceans.

STEPS BEING TAKEN TO CONTROL GLOBAL

WARMING

Afforestation Use of alternate fuels (biogas, gobar gas) Reducing use of fossil fuels Using C.F.L. bulbs instead of incandescent bulbs.

Using renewal sources of energy e.g. wind and

solar energy
