Should or shouldn't

Use should/shouldnt + infinitive to give somebody advice or say what you think is the right to do.

You should cut your hair. = I think it would be a good idea. I think you should change your job. The government should do more for old people.

Should/shouldnt + infinitive is the same for all persons.


You can also use ought/ought not to instead of

should/shouldnt.

You ought to change your job.
