Jones and Bartlett Publishers are pleased to announce a new series in Biomedical Informatics.

Our belief is that Biomedical Informatics is an important component of every clinical and research activity, and that all translational research projects should be designed with the help of biomedical informaticians. We plan to provide books that will appeal to a wide audience of health care professionals, not just computer professionals working in a biomedical setting. We are also pleased to announce that Dr. Jules Berman has signed on as the editor of this progressive series. For the past 7 years, Jules Berman served as Program Director for Pathology Informatics within the Cancer Diagnosis Program at the National Cancer Institute. He has first-authored over 100 published articles. To develop this series, we are looking for authors with deep knowledge of an area within biomedical informatics who have successfully applied their expertise to clinical service or to translational research. Books may be single author or multi-author works. Multi-author works should be limited to multi-disciplinary subjects in which every chapter contributes to a focused book theme. The books in this series should be accessible to all motivated health care professionals.
