What fruit or vegetable produces the most electricity?

I think a lemon will make the most electricity.

The lemon is the most tart, which I believe means it has the most acid. The more acid in the fruit the more electricity it will produce.

Electricity is the flow of electrons. Acid within fruits and vegetables causes a chemical reaction when metals are inserted into them.

This increases the number of free electrons within the fruit.

The water in fruits and vegetables provides conductive material to increase the flow of electricity.

The Lemon produced the highest voltage.

The lemon must have the highest acid level of the fruits and vegetables tested. The tomato must have the lowest acid level of the fruits and vegetables tested.

The Tomato produced the lowest voltage.

The banana, carrot and potato also had high voltages.

These fruits and vegetables must have high acid content.

Test more than one of each type of fruit and vegetable.

Get an average value.

Try testing at different temperatures

Does cold effect the voltage reading?

Include copper, zinc, nickel.

Use different metals attached to the probes.
