-Reinforces gender stereotypes -Lack of funding -Increases incidents of bullying -Increases aggression among males -Impacts social development -Unconstitutional- "separate but equal" is never equal -Doesn't prepare students for the real world -Gender differences are not the same for every child
Arguments for
-Breaks down gender stereotypes -Increases test scores and grades -Students feel more comfortable -Increases focus of students -Cuts down on distractions -Allows students to branch out into genderatypical subjects -Doesn't have to use much funding

How would having single-sex classrooms affect the social development of the boys and girls? What instructional/classroom strategies would need to be changed from a co-ed class to a single-sex classroom?
