Justice Essay Every human being deserves the access to justice. No matter the crime, situation, or circumstances.

He who doesnt have access to justice will be treated unfairly. Justice is a virtue that all people should have access to. It keeps balance in the world, and corrects wrong-doers of their actions. If someone is killed, and the assailant is never tried nor convicted, then neither of them had access to justice, and the assailant walks the streets perhaps to kill again. Slaves had no access to justice. They were beaten, molested, and sometimes even murdered, but the wrong-doers were never brought to justice. The slaves just had to accept it as part of their lives. If they would have had access to justice, then slavery would not have existed. They never got a trial to tell anyone what happened and bring justice to the slave drivers. Dimby from The Narrative of The Life of Fredrick Douglass is a good example. His death was never brought to justice. Mr. Gore just shot him without a second thought and got away with it. If there was a trial, Mr. Gore would have been corrected of his actions, so he would not have been able to do that to anyone again. Dimby was shot for not getting out of a river when Mr. Gore had instructed him to do so. Mr. Gore said, you have till the count of three. Mr. Gore shot him after saying, One. Another example of people not having access to justice is if someone kills three people, and never gets sent to trial, then none of them have access to justice. He would be free to kill as many more people as he wants. If this happened, society would be crippled. You wouldnt even be able to leave your house without fear of being harmed or killed. People would be living in constant fear.

It could be argued that some individuals dont deserve access to justice. Some people think that Adolf Hitlers crimes were so large and horrifying, that he didnt deserve a trial. He just deserved to be put to death instantly. This is a very valid point. But not everyone is an Adolf Hitler. Most people commit crimes far less serious his. In conclusion, if everyone did not have access to justice, our society today would be much worse. Everyone deserves justice. Even though some people are just terrible and its obvious that they should die, the Constitution states that everybody has the right to a fair trial. In other words, everybody has the right to justice.
