Founded more than 100 years ago, the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsaA) will hold its 101st

Annual Meeting from June 12 to June 17, 2012. The largest a nd oldest organization of its kind, the APsaA will bring together more than 600 mental health practitioners this summer to discuss an array of pertinent subject s. The meeting will host a series of panels, sessions, and discussion groups on topics from immigration policy to the mental health of our veterans. Additionally, meeting attendees can learn more about insurance, website developm ent, and other general business concerns at a range of practical workshops. The APsaA Annual Meeting will take place at the Palmer House Hilton Hotel in Chicago , Illinois, and may count towards professionals continuing education credits. About the author: A member of the American Psychoanalytic Association, Dr. Allen Siegel completed his Certification in Psychoanalysis through the organization i n 1990. He has operated a private practice focusing on psychiatry and psychoanal ysis since 1971. Dr. Siegel has also contributed significantly to his field, aut horing numerous articles, books, and textbook chapters.
