Concert Reflection

In partial fulfillment of the requirements for accelerated credit, students will attend one formal concert outside of the Needham Public Schools each marking period, and submit a Concert Reflection summarizing the event. Formal concerts include, but are not limited to: college ensembles (most are free), Needham Concert Society, professional ensembles, youth orchestra/wind ensemble/choral concerts (i.e. NEC prep, MYWE, YSO). Requirements: One page typed Include your full name and class period List all works performed with composers, or submit a copy of the concert program. 11 or 12 point font justified formatting Narrative: Choose one piece you heard at this concert that impacted you the most. What about this piece was memorable and captured your interest? Use musical terminology in your description. Mention specific musical elements that contributed to a successful performance such as instrumentation, style, phrasing, balance, intonation, and interpretation.
