NOTICE OF BUS SERVICE TERMINATION

To Our Valued Customers: The Harris County Community Services Department Office of Transit Services provides bus service for the residents of Pasadena, La Porte and students of San Jacinto College. On July 18, 2012 the City of Pasadena notified Harris County that Pasadena intends to discontinue funding for the transit service effective August 31, 2012.

This means that Bus Service for Pasadena, La Porte and San Jacinto College will potentially end on August 31, 2012.
The Harris County Office of Transit Services will hold meetings for public comment at the Cleveland-Ripley Center 720 Fairmont Parkway Pasadena, Texas on August 07, 2012, from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM and at the La Porte Neighborhood Center 526 San Jacinto St. La Porte, Texas on August 07, 2012 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Harris County will provide regular transit service to the Cleveland Ripley Center meeting. Residents needing transportation to the La Porte Neighborhood Center meeting can call 713-578-2044 to arrange for after-hours transportation. Harris County Transit has been pleased to provide this bus service and thanks you for patronage. Since the beginning of the service passenger boardings have increased to 3,800 per month on average.
