Title: Modeling evaporation from bare soil with deep water table. Liquid and vapour fluxes coupling.

Abstract: Introduction: Importance of understanding bare soil evaporation. Challenges of modeling evaporation and coupling vapour and liquid fluxes. Modified V.G. Conceptually - Gardner. Conceptually - On-off model. Conceptually - Fully coupled model.

Modeling: On-Off model. Fully coupled model. Gardner.

Results and discussion: On-off model. Fully coupled model. Gardner Experimental results and compare to models.

Conclusions: Simplification of the coupled model to the On-Off model is applicable. The On-Off model with the modified V.G. is applicable to model evaporation from bare soil and to predict location of evaporation front. The On-Off model can be used to calibrate the Gardner model parameters.

Introduction: Evaporation from bare soil is an important process relevant mainly for arid and semi-arid environments, where vegetation is scarce [REF], as well as for many agricultural uses, where the soil coverage is limited [REF]. Understanding of the evaporation process, predicting evaporation rates and the soil water content under evaporative conditions is important for agricultural and ecological practices.
