Heavenly Father, source of strength and comfort for Your people.

You are the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the Earth. You are the only Healer of the Sick. You have cured the sick and laid a healing hand upon the lame, the blind, and the crippled. I ask now for Your Holy Spirit to alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We humbly beseech You to behold, visit and relieve Your sick servant for whom our prayers are desired. Look upon him with the eyes of Your mercy; comfort him with a sense of Your goodness; preserve him from the temptations of the enemy; and give him patience under his affliction. In Your good time, restore him to health, and enable him to lead the residue of his life in Your fear, and to Your glory; and grant that finally he may dwell with You in life everlasting. Remember all Your church, O Lord, with all their families, and all their immediate connection, with all their sick and afflicted ones, with all the poor and meek of the earth, that the kingdom which You have set up without hands, may become a great mountain and fill the whole earth. Above all, grant all the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. ; We ask this of You, through Jesus, Your Son, and in the power of the Amen. Holy Spirit, One God dwelling in everlasting glory.
