It was a dark and stormy night. The windows were clanging against each other.

A light shone through the end of the long corridor. She heard a door open. The candle in her hand flickered and petered out. And then she couldnt believe her eyes when she saw her husband who had passed away 20 years ago right in front of her. She had mixed emotions of joy and fear all over her. Tears rolled down her eyes and she could hardly utter a word. Her husband went ahead and hugged her but she could hardly reciprocate. She was out of her senses. This left her husband bamboozled and in a deep remorseful voice he exclaimed Leena dont you love me anymore. His wife was still awestruck and silent. Peter reiterated his question only to get a nod this time. He now further said What do I make of it? eagerly waiting for an answer from his wife but it appeared as if it was going to be a never ending wait for him. Peter was now beginning to lose his patience. He went ahead and held his wifes arms tightly and asked her to look into his eyes and see how much he still loved her. His wife took her hand away and slowly moved backwards and then started running away from him. Peter followed her screaming to wait and listen to him but the fear that had gripped her wouldnt let her stop. Finally after a long chase Peter managed to stop her and said that he was not here to harm her and it was only his love towards her that has brought him back to her. He further said that he had come to take her with him. This led Leena to cry vociferously and she completely broke down. She told Peter that she too loved him but she had their young daughter Rita to take care of and she couldnt accompany him leaving Rita all alone in this cruel world. Hearing this Peter stepped back and told her he would be waiting for her for the next 20 years as well. Saying this Peter disappeared at lightning speed and Leena followed him in pursuit of holding him for one last time but to her utter disappointment Peter had vanished into thin air. She fell on the ground out of utter despair and disbelief. Suddenly she was shaken by a loud noise and it was her alarm clock. She looked around and then rushed towards Ritas room and went ahead and hugged her while she was still asleep. To this Rita woke up and asked What happened mom? to which Leena could only reply I love you.
