GRASIM Nagda VSF is a biodegradable, man-made fibre.

It has cotton-like characteristics and can be easily blended with other fibres. It is used in making home textiles, dress material, garments and knitted wear. It is also used in some non-woven applications Nagda is its largest unit producing a wide range of VSF to suit customer requirements in terms of length, denier and colour and also second and third generation fibres like Modal, Excel and Solvent Spun fibres, respectively. Nagda is also the largest producer of spun-dyed specialty fibre in the world. Besides the Nagda plant, Grasim manufactures VSF at its two other plants Kharach in Gujarat and Harihar in Karnataka. The three units have a combined capacity of 333,975 tons per annum, accounting for 22 percent of the total global VSF production.

Spun dyed fibre: The spun-dyed viscose fiber is generated by evenly and continually adding the innocuous dye grain of nano-grade into the spinning solution by a special blending technique, by which the dye grains are evenly filled into the fiber. The characteristics of the spun-dyed viscose fiber are vibrant color and luster, water-resistance, and excellent colorfastness
