Can be diagnose using 2 main ways. Chest X-ray; show up TB damage to the lung as opaque areas and large, thickwalled cavities.

However, other disease can give similar image. Chest X-ray can suggest TB but not confirm it. Examining the DNA of bacteria; diagnosed by finding Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria in a clinical specimen taken from the patient.

Surgical biopsy.
Antibiotics for many months. First couple of months a cocktail of different antibiotics us used. (Ensure full attack to bacteria).
Treatment of Tuberculosis
Followed by 4-7 months taking 2 antibiotics. In 9 months most patients completely free of TB. But take 12-18 months for all traces of active disease have gone.

For Human Improving living standards. Less crowded housing and working conditions, less likely to pass disease. People are better fed and healthier, less likely to develop the full-blown disease.

For Cattle Preventing & treating disease in cattle. Pasteurising or heating milk before it is drunk prevent the spread of M.bovis.

Immunisation. A single injection of BCG (Bacillus Calmete-Guerin) vaccine mostly to young babies and other at risk from infection. It is cheaper than the treatment.
