PERSPECTIVE

Came from the latin word Perspicere which means to see through is defined as the manner in which volume is represented to the eye from a point of view in space

WHAT ARE THE FORMS OF PERSPECTIVE?

1. Aerial Perspective 2. Diminution of size 3. Light and shade 4. Foreshortening 5. Height on the picture plane 6. Overlapping

AERIAL PERSPECTIVE
Has

to do with the changes and appearance due to the atmosphere, objects become hazier in outline as they approach the horizon.

DIMINUTION OF SIZE
The

farther away an object in space, the smaller its image in the field of vision

LIGHT AND SHADE

The

relations of illumination, shadow and reflected light

FORESHORTENING
The

convergence of lines limiting the objects as in space Adjusting measures of figures to fit into perspective

HEIGHT ON THE PICTURE PLANE

Objects

down, below and up-for all objects below the horizon: the higher the object in our field of vision, the farther away it is

OVERLAPPING
Nearer

objects overlap more distant objects standing behind them in the field of vision. This is the strongest of depth cases. Even a small object overlapping a large one can push the big one back.
