by Stephanie Sario Finished Size: 15 wide x 87 long Materials: 3 Balls Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick, 80% Acrylic 20% Wool (approx 324 yards) NOTE: yardage needed will vary depending on the length of Solomon Stitch Hook: Size M, 9.00mm Special Stitches: Solomon Stitch (a.k.a. Lover's knot) starting with one loop on hook, pull loop to desired length (1-1.5), YO, pull through loop (NOTE: long chain stitch just created), insert hook through back loop of long chain, YO, pull through loop, YO, pull through 2 loops. Note: When crocheting into a Solomon Stitch, work into the small knot created after long loop. Pattern: Chain 2, sc in 2nd ch from hook, 42 SS (about 1.5 inches) Row 1: ch 4, turn. Tr in first SS, dc in same st, 1 SS, skip next SS, 3 dc in next SS, (1.5 SS, skip next SS, 3 dc in next SS) 19 times, 1SS, skip next SS, dc in last st, 2 tr in same st. Row 2: ch 4, turn. Tr in first st, dc in same st, 1 SS, skip next 2 dc, 3 dc in next SS, (1.5 SS, skip next 3 dc, 3 dc in next SS) 21 times, 1 SS, skip next dc, skip next tr, dc in last st, 2 tr in same st. Rows 3-13: repeat row 2 adding one pattern repeat each row. Fasten off. Buttons: Lay wrap flat with Right Side facing. Attach button to corner at short side of edge. Attach second button to opposite edge on the long side directly across from short corner. See diagram below.
