1. EXISTING STREET NETWORK The project is not expected to have extensive regional attraction.

The principle roadways that will serve the Saifi Modern Project are George Haddad Street, Way gand Street, Amir Bachir Street and Damascus Street. Other key roadways in the l ocal area network include Charles Malek Street, Charles Helou Street and Al Shou hada Street. A brief description of these key area roadways is presented below. These descriptions are based on an inventory of existing roadway conditions. Refer to the photos of the eight intersections that are shown in Appendix A. Charles Malek Street is a two-way divided major arterial in the east-west direct ion with three lanes in each direction. Curbside parking is permitted on both si des of the street. George Haddad Street is a north-south major divided arterial. It has three throu gh lanes in each direction. Parking is permitted on both sides of the street. Amir Bachir Street is a one-way street having three lanes in the eastbound direc tion. No parking is permitted on both sides of the street.
