Entitled during tour on official assignment Kinds of traveling allowances Permanent TA, Conveyance allowance, Mileage allowance Daily allowance.

T.A on tour comprises

Fare for journeys by rail/road/air/sea;

Road mileage for road journeys; D.A. for the entire period of absence

Eligibility class of accommodation by train / air / road is determined as per basic pay.

Air journey- (i) officers drawing pay of Rs.51610/- and above (IDA) may
travel at their discretion on tour / transfer. (ii) Officers drawing pay of Rs.37500/- and above, but below Rs.51610/- may travel by air, if the distance involved is more than 500 Kms. and the journey cant be performed overnight

(6 PM and 8 AM)

by a direct train.

Reimbursement of charges:
Service Charges for booking of train tickets through recognised travellers agents is reimbursable for the journeys on tour and transfer in the interest of public Taktal seva charges for railway journeys Charges for booking of rail tickets through Internet / e-ticketing for tours and LTC. Conveyance charges for collecting tickets.

TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE ON TOUR

Entitlement of Daily Allowance (for BSNL Officers) w.e.f 25.9.02 Stay in a hotel. Stay in Central / State / PSUs guest house stay in IQ & own arrangement- Normal rates as prescribed Calculation of DA.

TA FOR LOCAL JOURNEYS

DA for Local Journeys in expensive localities- 50% of

ordinary locality DA. DA will be allowed for maximum of 180 days.

TA/DA entitlement for Local Journeys-For journey

performed beyond 8 kms from the duty point but within the Municipal limits etc

Transfer TA comprises of: Composite Transfer grant Actual fare for the Govt servant and members of the family for journeys.

Cost of carriage of pvt. Conveyance.

Eligibility of Composite Transfer Grant

One months basic pay + DP + NPA + SI in case of transfer involving a change of station located at a distance of 20 km from each other. If the transfer is less than 20 kms or with in the same city involving change of residence, onethird of composite grant is sanctioned.

TA for family: TA for family members is admissible (i) if they accompany the Govt. servant

to the new station, or (ii) follow him within six months / precede him by not
more than one month from the date of taking over charge. Additional fare (to and fro) is admissible, to the Govt. servant, if he leaves

his family behind due to non availability of Govt. accommodation at the new hqrs or personal effects.

TA on retirement: Entitlements for travel on retirement will be the same as on transfer including air journey.

Time Limit for TA Claims

Time-limit for T.A. claims- Claims for tour/transfer should be preferred within one year from the date of completion of journeys.

In case of journeys to remote locality, additional days of JT over and above the number of days will be granted.

Reckoning joining time for increment Count for increment for substantive post

Counts for increment in continuation of leave

Journey period availed on transfer at ones own request not regulirzed as leave is treated as dies non and does

not count for increment, leave or pension.

Increment falls due during the period, increment will be drawn on joining duty after JT, but the period will count

for next increment.

Treatment of joining time when transfer order is cancelled. No joining time is admissible when transfer is own request but regular leave can be availed.
