"My Deceit" By: Triston Horton

Lives limited in spans so brief Regrets drench minds sickened beneath Fables to appease a tale so plain Truths unspoken forever torment my brain

Hypocritical behavior easily despised With my fibs the draft is revised My public identity shrouded in lies Outward acceptance greeted with internal sighs

Inquire daily my conscious health Finding it impossible to live with myself Futile remedies of ruthless vindication Purposeless application of self-medication

Reminiscing on that twisted being Falsified accounts deny me from seeing Desolate destinations dreams only lust Conclude the vicious cycle or hearts shall rust

Underlying confidence laced with sorrow Despite my endeavors, i'll lie tomorrow

Purchased alliances in crumbled receipts Everything i've come to love was bought with deceit
