    Reflection When a wave is at an incident between two different media it is either absorbed reflected or refracted. Refraction occurs When a wave changes in speed it refracts. Think of the waves in the basin experiment. When wave is slowed it's deviated towards the normal. When it speeds up it deviates away from the normal.
