Newman And Summer recognize only four functions namely,organising,planning,leading and controlling. Henri Fayol identifies five functions of Management, viz,planning,organising,commanding, coordinating and controlling. Luther Gulick states seven such functions under the catch word POSDCORB which stands for 1. Planning 2. Organizing 3. Staffing 4. Directing 5. Coordinating 6. Reporting 7. Budgeting Warren Haynes and Joseph Massie classify Management fuctions into decision making,organising,staffing,planning,controlling,communicating and directing.
