    It manages all the hardware(input/output devices) attached to the computer It manages security It consists of utility programs File Management, Disk management tools Note: Utility programs-It is a program that performs a specific tasks(antivirus tools,system clocks).They are most of the time integrated within an Operating system but at times it need to be installed to allow additional tasks to be done on the Pc

    Are programs designed specifically to either solve a program or do a specific task. example Ms word for typing purposes, Microsoft Access for creating database.
