LANGUAGE GAME TO TEACH VOCABULARY

HOW TO PLAY ???

Pupils can play this game either in pairs or small groups

On a piece of paper, pupils draw up a number of columns,

according to a model on the blackboard.

Each column is labelled with the name of a lexical set:

Example: fruit, transport, sports, animals, things and clothes.

The teacher calls out a letter of the alphabet (example: B).
Time limits will be given (two minutes), so pupils write down

possible words as many as they can begin with the letter (example: B) in separate column.
The pairs or groups with the most correct words win the game.
