Using Google Drawing

In your Google Docs, Google Drawing is opened by selecting Create New>Drawing

On the top of the Drawing screen is a menu bar with the choices: File, Edit, View, Format, Arrange, and Help. Below the Menu bar is a drawing toolbar with icons for creating shapes, text, etc.

The main canvas for drawing objects is below the toolbars.

How to begin Using Google Drawing


First select a tool from the drawing toolbar and then click, hold, and drag to create a shape on the canvas area. Keyboard Shortcuts with the drawing selected: To duplicate shape: Ctrl D To Group objects together: Crtl G To Ungroup objects: Ctrl shift G Once you have finished your drawing, you can share the whole Drawing or you can copy and paste it into another document. You can use Ctrl C to copy and Ctrl V to paste the drawing. You can create flow charts, graphic organizers, scribbles, insert text, images, or shapes. There are lot s of possibilities and opportunities for collaboration with others.
