Project Financial Accounting for Managers PGDM 2012-14

1. Get the Annual Reports (Financial Year 2010-11, 2009-10, 2008-09, 2007-08) of the company assigned to your group and read the following carefully: Directors /Chairmans Report Auditors Report Balance Sheet Income Statement Cash Flow Statement Schedules Significant Accounting Policies Management Discussion & Analysis 2. Analyze the Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow Statement of the company for the 4 Years given in the Annual Reports. Work out the Ratios and write a report. 3. The Report should include the answers to following questions: What are the main Revenue Generating Activities (Main Business) of the company? What are the major Growth Drivers for the products of the Company? What are the areas which are being covered by the Company in its Accounting Policies? How will you predict the Financial Health of the company if you are a : o Shareholders(Present & Potential) o Managers (Efficiency) o Lenders(Short Term & Long Term) What are the major expense heads for the company during period of study? Show your findings on year wise basis. Comment on the cash flows from Operating Activities, Financing Activities and Investing Activities. During the period of study, whether these cash flows have improved or otherwise. Provide the reasons for same. Read the MDA. List the issues covered in MDA. Each issues should be accompanied with a brief note of not more than 30 words. 4. The Report should not be of more than 12-15 Pages. Use of charts/graphs extensively will be appreciated. The first (Front) page of report should contain the name and roll no of members of the group and name of the company. The font to be used is 12, Times new Roman, Single Lined and Justified. All references must be mentioned at the end of the report.

THE REPORT IN HARD COPY FORMAT SHOULD REACH TO UNDERSIGNED BY MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 03, 2012. LATE SUBMISSION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
