How to copy part or whole screen and paste to a Word Document

Directions for PC To copy the entire screen, press the Function (Fn) key and F11(Prnt Scrn) Print Screen key at the same time OR your keyboard may have a key called Print Screen. This copies the image to the clipboard. Open up a word document (or where ever you want to paste the image to) and press the Control (Ctrl) key and Paste (V) key at the same time .

To resize the image, click on it. You will now see sizing handles (the circles around the image). Click and hold one of the handles and increase or decrease the image with your mouse.

To copy only a part of the screen, you can use Snipping Tool. Once you have the page up on the screen you want to copy from, go to START menu (bottom left corner of screen) and type Snipping Tool in the search box .

Click on program to open it. This will open up a small Snipping Tool Window.

Your cursor will now be a + . Move it and drag a box over the section you want to copy (it will not copy the Snipping Tool Box). Your section will open up in a new window. * If your cursor is not a +, click on New. Your cursor will now be a +.

Press the Control (Ctrl) key and Copy ( C ) key at the same time (or click on Edit-Copy from the top menu). The image is now copied onto the clipboard. Close the window (dont save). Open up a word document (or where ever you want to paste the image to) and press the Control (Ctrl) key and Paste (V) key at the same time .
