NC procedure: basic procedure wich is adoptd for most of d NC operatn xcept simple jobs consists of 6 steps 1) Preparing of NC coordinate

drawing: first step in NC prog is 2 convert existin blue print or shop drawing into an NC coordinate drawing. Dis is done according to type of dimen sys of d m/c as absolute or incremental 2) Process planning: second step is 2 detremine or plan d sequence of op. if d wp req a variety of mc op then programmer must decide n enlist d sequence of op. 3) Part programming: is d sequence of instructns wich describes d work wich has to b done on a part in d form rq by a comptr under d ctrl of a NC ctrld programm. 4) Prep of punched tape: after d manuscript is completed, a punched tape is prepard from it wich s d i/p for d m/c tool. 5) Verufucatn of tape for accuracy: punched tape n programming must then b very for accuracy. D most convenient method is 2 make a dry run of it. 6) Productn: last step is d m/cing of actual parts . after d m/cing is completed. All dimensn r carefully checked ans any error detctd is removed.

Part programming: methods of part programme can b of 2 types dependin upon d tech employed to produce a punched tape: 1) Manual part programming 2) computer aided part prog. Manual pp: in mpp, d data req for m/cing is written in a std fromat known as program manuscripts. Each hori line in a manuscript represents a block of info. Dis type of programming is carried out for simple m/cing parts produced on pt 2 pt m/c tool. Computer aided pp: if d compo req a great del of m/cing, then part prog bcomes diffi and time consuming. Thus v use computr as an aid to reduce d labour req in part prog. Programms lyk APT, ADAPT, SPLIT, 2CL stc r used for d same.

NC words: an NC word is a unit of info such as dimens, feed rate, spindle speed etc. 1) blocj
