Throughouttheyears,theZiratMahol(DanceArena)Festivalhasturnedintoabrandname
fordanceinJerusalemawonderfulchallengewhichwearehappytosharewithyou,the
audience.Itcompelsustoconfrontconceptsthatareindangeroflosingtheirvalidityevery
year,andrenewthemincreation,discourse,andlearning.
Tome,thisistheessenceof"newdance",ofnewtheater,andofanynewart:examiningagain
andagain,ineachandeverycreation,thelanguage,theessenceitaspirestoexpress,andthe
positioninwhichitplacesthecreatorandtheobserver.
The Arena continues to be a unique platform which encourages new work in the Israeli
dancesceneingeneralandtheJerusalemsceneinparticular,strivingtogeneratedeepand
invigoratingdiscussioninthepublic.
Noveltyasavalueinitselfisapresumptuousandproblematicaspirationwhichwetryto
avoid,throughasincerewishtodevelopandexpand,andbyemphasizingourintentionof
communicatingwiththeaudience.
Weattributegreatimportancetonurturingyoungartists,toaccompanyingworksinprogress
and exposing them in appropriate events, such as this festival, to which we are pleased to
