Tips for succeeding in Group Discussions Dos:

1.

Do utilize the time given to organize your thoughts.

2. Mind your body language and speech throughout the GD 3. Try to initiate the GD if possible. 4. Keep eye contact with all the team members while speaking. 5. Back up your ideas with facts and figures. It adds weight to whatever you say. 6. Be respectful towards your team members and always appreciate a point well made. 7. Conclude in the given time.

Donts:
1. Dont be a silent observer or sleep with your eyes open. 2. It is not compulsory for you to start the discussion so dont initiate if you are confused about the topic. 3. Do not take things personally or loose your cool. 4. Never make it a one to one discussion. 5. Dont try to dominate others. 6. Never loose focus from the topic and the time given to complete the discussion.

And last but not the least; keep updating yourself regularly through newspapers, magazines, internet etc. You cannot do well if you dont have enough content.
