Partners for Life: The Mysteries of Animal Symbiosis Much like How to Clean a Hippopotamus in that it exemplifies all different types of symbiotic relations. This book is a little more readable and shows all three types of symbiotic relations rather than just mutualism. This book is appropriate for 3 rd graders. I found this book on amazon.com "Margery Facklam." LibraryThing. N.p., n.d. Web. 09 Sept. 2012

Big Friend, Little Friend: A Book About Symbiosis This book is very similar to How to Clean A Hippopotamus. It explains 14 mutually symbiotic relationships, such as the clownfish to the anemone. This book has, in my opinion, nicer pictures than the hippopotamus book and is appropriate for grade 4. I found this one on google.com Sussman, Susan, and Robert James. "Big Friend, Little Friend: A Book About Symbiosis." N.p., n.d. Web.

You Scratch My Back You Scratch My Back is a story of symbiotic relationships, showing how animals help each other. I really like the creative title and thought this book was very cute! Not only does this book express animal relations, but also plant relationships. This book is appropriate for grades 5-6 and I found this on amazon.com Silverman, Buffy. "You Scratch My Back (Raintree Fusion: Life Science)." N.p., n.d. Web.

Weird Friends: Unlikely Allies in the Animal Kingdom Unlike all other forementioned texts, this is a silly story describing animal relations. In this satirical book animals express strange relationships, such as a beetle that cleans a mouses house, and birds playing with crocodiles. This book is appropriate for grade 3. I found it on amazon.com
