Operation and Maintenance Center Radio (OMC-R)

Operation and Maintenance Center Radio (OMC-R) is the dedicated centralized management system of the Kapsch GSM Access Network. It manages configuration, supervision and performance of all GSM Access Network elements through a single graphical interface. OMC-R offers high reliability and enhanced security management as well as the ability to deliver a disaster recovery mechanism for customers requiring such a solution. OMCs centralized function makes the operational activities more effective and minimizes operational costs by delivering both real-time and inventory management information of all network elements. In addition to element management, value added Operation and Maintenance (OAM) tools can be provided to help

customers operate their networks more efficiently: CT2000 is an offline tool offering centralized configuration of all Kapsch Business Support Systems (BSS), multiple OMC-R databases, as well as a centralized view of all BSS network parameters. CT/CPT is an offline PC tool, which provides a graphical view of the Kapsch BSS call trace/call path trace data.
