    Abstract

    The chemistry of quinones is of great importance towards the build of new compounds. Quinones represent a wide and varied family of metabolites of natural distribution. Heterocyclic derivatives exhibit different biological activities, such as antibacterial, antifungal, antimalarial and antitumor. In the present study is proposed to synthesize molecules with naphthoquinones skeleton. The intention is to switch groups connected to the side chain of the two possible isomers and to evaluate the antibacterial potency of these compounds against bacteria Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. .
