Human Development Index measures the overall development of a nation. Is is a set of statistics, which are used to rank the different countries in the world and classify them by level of development. According to this index, there are four level of development: 1. 2. 3. 4. Very high human development - ex. United States of America, Japan, Australia High human development - ex. Bulgaria, Romania, Eastern Europe Medium human development - ex. India, China Low human development - ex. some African countries

HDI or The Human Development Index is a comparative measure of factors like life expectancy, literacy, education and standards of living, well-being, especially child welfare for all countries worldwide. The index also determines if a country is notdeveloped, developing or developed. It can go from 0 - zero development, to 1 - the highest level of development.
