Mr. Lotus D. Coffman, Pres., University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
My dear Mr. Coffman: I hardly know how to start out to express my appreciation of the wonderful cooperation accorded us by yourself and the Board of Regents and the members of your stadium staff during the recent Shrine Convention. There isn ' t any question but what we never could have handled it without the liberal cooperation of yourself and the other members. I am very pleased to say to you that of the fifteen previous conventions that I have attended as a delegate from my own temple that this was one of the finest conventions we have ever had and it was the general topic of convers ation among the more than six hundred delegat e s tha t the treatment accorded them here surpassed any other city in the past ten years . The University of Minnesota will receive its share of the fine mouth to mouth publicity tha t we will all receive throughout the four corners of the United states, as well as Canada, when these delegates reach their homes to make their reports to their various temples and sing the praises of the treatment accorded them while in our city. As chief executive of the city of Minneapolis I want you and the members of the faculty to know that I more than appreciate you making it possible for us to bring this about . With very kind personal re gards to you and the other members , believe me Most sincerely,
