Statewide Conference for Leaders in Aging Services Next Week


Agenda will focus on policy issues affecting long-term care providers in Kansas

MANHATTAN LeadingAge Kansas will host the 2012 Policy & Regulatory Fall Conference on September 27-28, 2012 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 410 South 3rd Street, 66502, to provide aging service leaders an opportunity to better understand the changing policy environment in Kansas. Kansas Governor Sam Brownback will provide the opening address at 8:30 AM on September 27th, followed by a KanCare presentation by Secretary Shawn Sullivan from the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services. The event includes multiple KanCare Focus Sessions, as well as breakout sessions outlining the government resources currently available to aging service providers in Kansas. A networking breakfast, lunch, and reception have been planned to allow conference attendees to visit with the three state-selected Managed Care Organizations and other aging service providers in Kansas.
