Columbia, SC - Tilie Palmore-Kilgore of Anderson is a new Agent for the SC Depa rtment of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services assigned to Anderson County. Agents complete two weeks of Agent Basic orientation and then 12 weeks of rigoro us and difficult training in basic law enforcement at the Criminal Justice Acade my to become Class-1 Certified. They then go to their county offices to complete their training as agents. The S.C. Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services is charged with sup ervising more than 30,000 criminal offenders placed on probation by the courts o r paroled by the State Board of Paroles and Pardons. Agents of the department are also an active part of the state s emergency operations and homeland security la w enforcement network.
